ALL THINGS GOOD COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT

And waiting we have done. Patiently. Has the gloom finally lifted from Mackay? The local media has been trying to persuade us to feel a high level of optimism for the past few months, but in reality, the lack of funding from the banks was playing havoc with their consciousness raising exercise. Shouting  "boom 2" was starting to be taken with a grain of salt, and the general forecast was that the wait would be at least 3 to 4 months. BUT...there appears to be a breeze of confidence blowing our way. In a matter of a couple of weeks, ';for sale signs" are disappearing in front of properties, high end properties appear to be moving, and the vacancy rates are starting to crumble. A property which was difficult to rent out 1 month ago, suddenly has 3 or 4 prospective tenants lining up and fighting to get the lease!!! Ahh, the sound of those frustrated tenants is like a joyfull cry form a Mackay City Parrot , to a landlords ears. Something is in the air. You can feel it.Optimism!!! Yahoooooo.
